So it’s a new month and you know what that means? Time for my current beauty favourites. As the resident beauty junkie, I’ve got the scoop on what is and isn’t worth your time and hard-earned money. I mean we’ve all bought products that we just didn’t vibe with. However, when we find a winner, we tell our nearest and dearest. So, consider yourself part of our inner circle and enjoy 5 of my current beauty favourites.
5 Of My Current Beauty Favourites:
1. Spiral Hair Ties:
I love spiral hair ties. They are fabulous because they don’t dent your hair and they stay in place, really well. Unlike other hair ties, I’ve found that these do not pull your hair out when you remove them. Your hair also doesn’t break off with these. Overall, they are easy to use and a must-have in your beauty bag. We even put them on our beauty stocking stuffer guide.
2. Face Razor:
Something not many women like to discuss is that we sometimes get fine hair on our upper lips, down below our sideburns, and on our cheeks. This peach fuzz can be amplified when wearing makeup and in certain lighting. Though you can get these tiny razors anywhere, I personally like the Sephora Eyebrow Touch Up Razor Set. I like this set because they are sharp enough for your upper lip, but you can carefully use them on your brows too. Oh, and they come with a cap that doubles as a brow brush with a lash comb.
3. Tweezerman Tweezers:
All Tweezerman tweezers are amazing, especially the 40th Anniversary Slant Tweezer, which are very cute and sparkly. These slant tweezers have a “25-degree slanted tip that is the perfect angle for working against the brow bone.” Frankly, these are the best tweezers I’ve ever used. The slant, in addition to the super sharp tips, make the tweezers super easy to use to pluck individual hairs with precision. Since we can’t get our brows done professionally, this is the next best thing to keep them clean.
4. Clinique Pep-Start Hydro Blur Moisturizer:
This is THE moisturizer you want to put on, under your makeup. Clinique Prep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer is like you put a filter on your skin when you apply your makeup over this product. Unlike other moisturizers, it is thick so it doesn’t allow your makeup to run or smudge during the day. If you want a game-changer for makeup application, then this is the cream for you. This isn’t your night cream, it’s specifically made for going on under your makeup. It allows your skin a barrier, so it stays hydrated. So even when you wear your daily makeup for long hours, it stops your makeup from absorbing into your skin.
5. Nick Chavez Beverly Hills Plumper ’N Thicker Shampoo And Conditioner Duo:
All Nick Chavez shampoos and conditioners are fantastic. That being said, since I have fine hair, I decided to try the plumper ’n thicker duo, and it is just as amazing as his other products have always been. I started using Nick’s products when I was 16 years old, and nothing compares – trust me, I’ve tried everything. However, this duo plumps my hair and makes it look thick without weighing it down. I hate when my hair looks heavy, greasy, and limp – this duo is the opposite. If you have fine hair try this product, you won’t regret it.
So, these are 5 of our current beauty favourites for the month of January. These are products we personally use, and love and hope that you love them too. It’s a monthly thing so be sure to check back in February.
