The warmer weather has us getting out and about more than we have been so it’s a good time to evaluate your beauty go-to products. You have to make sure your favourite beauty products can hold up in the summer heat. For these reasons, it’s the perfect time to give a little love to my 5 current favourite beauty products – June 2022 Edition.
This list highlights everything I love from new products to ones I’ve loved for a while and they cover a range of prices. I truly believe that beauty products do not have to be expensive to be good. As we must judge every product based on its own performance.
5 Of My Current Favourite Beauty Products – June 2022 Edition
B kind Konjac sponge infused with rose. Soft and soothing: This is an all-in-one product, so you don’t need a cleanser. This sponge is all-natural, vegan, and biodegradable. It’s infused with rose and is great for redness and sensitive skin, so it addresses my main skin issues. The sponge is hard when you open it. To soften it, you hold it under water until it becomes pliable. You then wash your face with the wet sponge and then hang it to dry- I just hang it off my faucet, so it can drip into the sink. Overall, this is a fantastic product and my skin felt clean and smooth after using it. It wasn’t drying to my skin, and I liked how soft my skin felt, afterwards. When the sponge is finished, you toss it in the compost. For other ways to help green your beauty routine, click here or want to find great green beauty brands, click here.
GXVE High-Performance Matte Liquid Lipstick: I love a classic red lip, and think it instantly elevates a lot of looks. Adding that pop of colour can really brighten your face. The problem with a lot of my lipsticks is that they wear off quickly, smudge, and you have to constantly reapply. This is not the case with the GXVE lipstick, I mean Gwen Stefani is a red lipstick icon– check out our old red lipstick- and she really deliverers with this product. The first time I tried on this red, I put it on directly before I was about to eat, and didn’t check on my lipstick for a couple of hours afterwards. I was very pleased with the amount of stain left and how it hadn’t smudged at all. Overall this is a fantastic red lipstick, that is long wearing- it certainly lives up to the hype.
Dyson Air Wrap: I know this is an expensive product and we covered it in the only two products you need to do your hair at home, but use this every day. While I do not curl my hair often with it, the blow dryer and the paddle brush attachment are phenomenal. My hair is long, and I can dry it in a fraction of the time that it takes with a traditional blow dryer. It has also cut down on frizz and gives me a great blowout look. Yes, you could just buy the Dyson blow dryer, but I like having the option of the curling rods. While I still haven’t mastered them, I curl my hair much better with them than I ever have with a traditional curling iron.
Creaseless Hair Clips: These little barrettes make sure your hair doesn’t get bent when you move it out of the way to do your makeup. However, they are so much more than that, as they can hold a very small amount of hair. Why is this a good thing? When you are trying a new hairstyle or dying hair, you sometimes need to section off a small amount of hair without creasing it, and these come in handy. Larger clips can’t hold small amounts of hair or they can leave dents in your hair.
Satin scrunchies: I have a love of satin scrunchies, and they have replaced my love of coil scrunchies. This is because scrunchies don’t leave a mark on your hair, whereas the coil ones do leave a bend in your hair, especially as they stretch out and you have to wrap them tighter for them to hold in place. I was surprised by the quality of these unbranded silk scrunchies. Yes, I love the slip silk scrunchies and they’re fantastic; however, they can be pricey especially if you’re someone who loses hair ties like I tend to do. So, I was surprised when I found you could get a large box of these on Amazon, for an affordable price. Now the quality is a little different than the slip ones, the fabric is not as tight and sleek as the expensive ones. But no matter if the product is slightly different, they work just the same, as your hair won’t get dented. So yes, I do have the original, and yes I do love it and use it; however, I love having back up and these are a great affordable option.
