5 Of My Current Favourite Beauty Products– November 2022 Edition

by Elyse V

November is upon us and that means your thoughts might be turning to the holidays. Before making out my wish list and gift list, I like to look to my beauty favourites for ideas of items I would like and want to give as gifts. Today, I’m sharing 5 of my current favourite beauty products – the November 2022 edition.

I love letting those closest to me, and my loyal Older Slightly Wiser readers know about my current beauty favourites. What is the point of knowing about great products if you don’t tell anyone about them? There is no fun in gatekeeping information.

My 5 current favourites are a blend of products. This month features perennial favourites that I’m always grateful for and some new products that I love.

Not to mention, we are hitting every price point from drugstore finds to premium products and everything in between.

5 Of My Current Favourite Beauty Products– November 2022 Edition

Cake Desserted Island Supreme Body Mousse:
This product is not only created in Canada but is cruelty-free, and vegan. It also, leaves out parabens, sulphates mineral oil, petroleum, and Trico San. This is a product I bought at my local drugstore and it was very affordable. It is also a fantastic product. My skin was going through a dry phase, so this came to the rescue of the rough skin on my arms and legs. I put this on once, and it made a tangible difference in my skin. Best of all, it left no residue on my skin. I will be purchasing this again, no questions asked.

Tata Harper Nourishing Makeup Removing Oil Cleanser:
Now, this is a perennial favourite. I keep this cleanser on my sink- year-round, but I don’t always use it (as I want it to last.) However, I’ve been partial to the waterproof Clinique mascara, lately that seemingly nothing cuts through- not even my beloved Micellar water and a double cleanse. I had no other option than to use this cleanser as a makeup remover, and it removed every bit of waterproof mascara. The Tata Harper Nourishing Makeup Removing Oil Cleanser is expensive, but it is well worth the splurge. It’s a great item to gift to anyone who loves skincare. I was introduced to this product because it was gifted to me and I’m now obsessed with it.

FoxyBae Flaminglow Leave-In Conditioner Cream:
This product is also free of sulphates and parabens, and has “Biotene in it to help fortify your hair and promotes healthy growth.” I have naturally wavy hair, which I straighten, and this product helps keep my hair hydrated. This is because naturally, wavy hair tends to be drier than straight hair. Another plus is that it doesn’t leave my hair limp, heavy, or greasy; as many leave-in conditioners tend to do, to my fine hair.

CLINIQUE Clarifying Lotion 3: I make no bones about my love of Clinique. This is not a new product. And it is not a new product to me. It is ” a dermatologist-developed liquid exfoliating lotion that clears the way for smoother, brighter-looking skin.” This is a stalwart product that you will always find on my sink. Even if I am using other products, I always come back to this hero product.

Tarte Sex Kitten Liquid Eyeliner Black:
I know this was on the list of the three best eyeliners IMHO and it has been on this list before; however, it is still the best eyeliner. I recently tried a waterproof eyeliner from another brand, which I won’t name. I thought this new product would be a better choice over my beloved tarte and I was wrong….so very wrong. The tarte doesn’t irritate my eyes and it is long wearing. Yes, sometimes I have had to reapply an eyeliner wing after I have cried it off, laughing. However, I’d much rather reapply than use a product that doesn’t go on well, or wears well, is quite expensive, and is not as vibrant as the tarte product.

If you are stuffing a stocking or getting ready for holiday parties, these products will have you covered.
