I was gifted a FabFitFun annual subscription for Christmas and just received my first box, Spring 2022. I’ll be reviewing my seasonal boxes as I receive them and I’m so excited to be doing my first FabFitFun box review – the Spring 2022 edition.
I’ve had other subscription boxes in the past, like IPSY, Glossy, and Loose Button – so I have some experience with them and I enjoyed them. The downside of them is that I often got products that I’d never use because they either didn’t meet my needs or didn’t benefit me at all. Luckily, I always had someone to pass them along to so no product ever went to waste.
I’m so excited to be writing this FabFitFun box review of the goodies I received in the Spring 2022 box. I haven’t had a chance to try them all yet as I just received it but, on first glance, it’s looking very good. I did already know (and have previously tried) a couple of them and I read about the others. I’m super pumped to try them all. I’m pretty sure you’ll see a few of them in future posts either on my monthly current favourites list or a gift guide. Ok – let’s jump in.
First thoughts..the packaging
The bright box design with its’ rainbow ribbon, is a welcome sight, while we’re in the doldrums of winter. So, right from the get-go, it screams spring fabulousness. FabFitFun knows how to present their brand and the brands they are partnering with. I also love the booklet that describes all the products and the stickers, and coupon codes. They really make you feel like you’re unwrapping a gift.
Onto the goodies…
Christophe Robin Paris Regenerating Mask With Prickly Pear Oil: This is a nourishing hair mask that I cannot wait to use. I find that during the winter, my hair tends to get dry and damaged, so this should be a welcome relief. Perfect timing too with spring coming. My hair to could use a little glossing up. This retails for $90.00CAD.
Butter London Teddy Girl Eyeshadow Palette: First off, I love how the palette opens, with two “doors” rather than flipping open like most palettes. The set includes 9 eyeshadow, featuring a mix of matte, duo-chrome, shimmer, and metallic shades, all in a beautiful array of pinks and browns. This looks like a super wearable palette, that will easily mix in with my existing makeup. I’m sure I’ll be using this palette a ton, this spring/summer. I love Butter nail polish and lippies. I didn’t even know they made eye shadow so I’m super-pumped to try it out. This retails for $38.00CAD.
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment: This is an excellent exfoliator. I love a good exfoliator, as it is one of the steps in our 7 Skincare Tips to Take Your Skincare Routine to the Next Level. I love Kate Somerville products – they always deliver as promised. This exfoliator promises to mimic a clinical treatment and it does. Also, the “scrub reveals smoother texture and pores in two minutes, while prepping the skin to better absorb the rest of your regimen.” Super happy to have received this one. This retails for $127.00CAD.
Caudalie Vinopure Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid: I’m already a Claudalie fan, as we’ve featured their products in our 20 of the best hand creams to fight winter dryness and 10 winter skincare tips. This product apparently, is an “all-day hydration while mattifying skin. It helps reduce the appearance of imperfections (breakouts and blackheads), and refines skin texture, for visibly mattified and healthy-looking skin.” This is something I can’t wait to introduce to my daily skincare regime, especially when I have the occasional breakout. This retails for $45.00.
Earth Harbor Naturals Glow Juice Refining Enzyme Mask: This product is two-in-one, as it is a mask and a spot treatment. It can target “Dull Skin, Redness, Acne, Pores, and Excess Oils.” Having a great facemask can be a way to sneak 10 miutes of self-care into your day. This retails for $17.00CAD.
Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter: I love Josie Maran products but this Whipped Argan Oil is my absolute favourite. I am sooo happy this one is included. I suffer from dry skin and I bought this hoping it would be half as good as it was. It is so luxurious and feels so decadent. It goes on your skin so smooth. I can’t recommend this one enough. This retails for $48.00CAD.
I love trying new products, and the FabFitFun box is a great way to do that without spending the retail value on them. This spring box did not disappoint my expectations with the quality and variety of products that I can’t wait to try. I’m also impressed with the value of them. So I think, overall, my first FabFitFun box review is a very positive one. I look forward to receiving my Summer 2022 box.
