I just received my summer 2022 FabFitFun box and cannot wait to dive into all the goodies that are in it. Since being gifted the FabFitFun annual subscription for Christmas, I’ve been reviewing my seasonal boxes as I receive them (read about spring here), and I’m so excited to be doing my first look FabFitFun box review-Summer 2022 edition.

I’ve had other subscription boxes in the past, like IPSY, Glossy, and Loose Button – so I have some experience with subscription boxes and I have always enjoyed them. The best part is discovering new products, and getting little random presents. The downside is that I often receive products that I’d never use; as they either didn’t meet my needs, didn’t benefit me, or I was allergic to them. Luckily, I always had someone to pass them along to, so no product ever went to waste. With FabFitFun, I believe you receive products that are better curated to your likes and needs.

I’m so excited to be writing this FabFitFun box review of the goodies I received in the Summer 2022 box. I haven’t had a chance to try them all yet (as I just received them) but, at first glance, it’s looking very promising. I was familiar with a few of the brands, and I read up about the others. I’m super pumped to try them all. I’m pretty sure you’ll see a few of them in future posts like my monthly current favourites list or on a gift guide.

Ok – let’s jump into my FabFitFun box review.

First thoughts..the packaging….

The bright box design with its’ bold ice cream pop pattern, is so much fun and just screams summer! FabFitFun knows how to represent its brand and the brands they are partnering with. I also love the booklet that describes all the products, along with a card of stickers, and coupon codes. They really make you feel like you’re unwrapping a gift. Onto the goodies…

There were so many items in this summer box I’m going to have to break my FabFitFun box review into sections

FabFitFun Box Review: Tools

Kayo Body Scrubber: Soft, hypoallergenic bristles help exfoliate the skin with every shower. I love soft bristles like this, as I have sensitive skin – I love my AEVO Facial Cleansing Brush which I wrote about in my 5 favourite beauty products – the February 2022 edition. A soft bristle scrubber for my body sounds fantastic, and I look forward to trying it with any one of our 5 of the best body washes for the greatest shower ever!

Zoë AYLA Face Mask Applicator: This is a double-ended applicator for applying facial masks, peels, serum, and other skincare products. You “use the applicator side to scoop and spread the mask, and the silicone scrubber to remove the product.” I hate getting masks all over my hands and also, having them stain face cloths when removing the products. This tool deals with both of these issues. I’m certain that this will make an impact on the effectiveness of my beauty routine.

Daily Concepts Daily Back Scrubber: The product “gently exfoliates the skin with its soft natural organic cotton surface, while the soy-based core creates a rich lather when used with your favourite body wash & cleanser. The Daily Back Scrubber is also ideal when wanting to exfoliate those hard-to-reach areas.” The packaging it comes in is a reusable carrier to be able to hang the product in your shower to dry- it even comes with a suction cup. The scrubber is organic, vegan, and biodegradable. This should help to exfoliate hard-to-reach areas.

FabFitFun Box Review: Beauty products

Billion Dollar Beauty Condition, Color & Control Brow Kit: This is one product I had to try immediately because I love to fill in my brows. The trio includes Primer and Conditioner, Universal Brow Pencil, and Clear Brow Gel. While I cannot wait to try the primer and brow gel, I can say the pencil is amazing. It is very creamy and just glides on easily. Not to mention, that the colour blended in perfectly with my brows.

Cuccio Somatology Cooling + Cleansing Active Body Wipes-3 Packs: Hate when you get sweaty travelling in the summer or after a workout and can’t shower? That is where these wipes come in handy. They can easily be thrown in your purse or gym bag to keep with you on the go. I look forward to being able to freshen up with these wipes as the weather warms up. I’m sure they will come in handy after hours spent gardening if I don’t have time to shower before moving on with my day.

TrulyClear Truly Gone Acne Patch: This set of 72 high-grade hydrocolloid patches, help to seal in blemishes and protects them from dirt and external contact. Not to mention they are latex-free, gluten-free, and vegan. They can be applied prior to your makeup so that it doesn’t impact the pimple. I have seen this product before, and have never ordered them, so I’m excited to try them, in action, the next time I have a blemish.

grace & stella pink eye masks 12 Pk: The “Pretty In Pink Eye Masks are focused on firming and hydrating the under eye area. “Formulated with Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 to stimulate and boost collagen production, Fructose to attract and retain moisture in the skin, and Horse Chestnut to maintain healthy blood circulation, and strengthen capillaries (bye, dark circles!), these eye masks are the key to improving skin texture and firmness.” Given that I have dark circles, and have looked for, and bought the best eye creams for my dark circles, and concealers to cover them up… I cannot wait to try these!

OUAI Cleansing Scalp & Body Sugar Scrub: “A colour-safe, deep-cleansing sugar scrub that exfoliates product buildup from your scalp and smooths out dry skin while nourishing it.” As someone with dry and sensitive skin, I can’t wait to try this on mine. I’ve never used a scrub for my scalp; but seeing as I love using different hair products, like dry shampoos and heat protectors, I think that this could really benefit my scalp and skin.

Illamasqua Gel Sculpt (Various Shades): I was very excited to see this product in my FabFitFun box, as this is a brand I used to love (when it was easily available in Canada). I have bought other products of theirs, so I know that they make some great products. The “Gel Sculpt is a unique contouring gel that offers subtle definition to cheeks with minimal effort.” I opened this, and the dark colour intimidated me a little as I’m very fair. After swatching the colour on my hand, I saw that this is a very sheer, blendable, and buildable product. I enjoy contouring my face; so this will be interesting to try.

ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Night Cream: This cream is “clinically proven to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles.” I love a great cream, and I can’t wait to try this one.

FabFitFun Box Review: Other

Touchie No Contact Tool: This is a small item that you put on a keyring. You can use this to push in PINs at a bank machine/pay terminal or to use pushing elevator buttons. You can latch it to a door handle and pull it, to open doors, or use it to hang multiple grocery bags for easy carrying. This is a handy tool to use when you are out and attempting to reduce the number of surfaces you have to come in contact with. I’m putting this cute floral Touchie on my keyring right away.

Xo, Sienna Glass Travel Bottle with Silicone Sleeve: One can never have too many reusable water bottles. They are one way I like to help reduce my carbon footprint and do my part to have less dependence on single-use plastics. Not to mention, the bottle is sleek and comes in a cute pink colour. Even though this bottle cannot be put in the dishwasher, I will be using it in my house and when I’m travelling.

RAE DUNN ARTISAN GUAC + SALSA SET WITH 2 BAMBOO SPOONS: This is quite useful and adorable. I cannot wait to use these the next time I make gluten-free fish tacos or any other taco for dinner.

Lasting Smiles Sea Salt & Citrus – Aromatherapy Cause Candle: This is a soy wax blend candle “for an eco-friendly clean burn.” A clean, crisp scent reminiscent of being seaside. I look forward to enjoying this luxurious candle, which burns less quickly than paraffin and allows you to savour the ambience and aroma up to 50% longer.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I’m very excited by the products I’ve covered in this FabFitFun box review – the Summer 2022 edition and cannot wait to start using them. If this box lives up to the quality of the Spring box, I’m sure many of these products will become a part of my daily beauty and hygiene routines.

Let’s not forget about the household items, as they are both stylish and useful.

I think that having a FabFitFun box is a great way to be able to try a host of different products, without having to spend the retail value on them. Not to mention it is also an awesome gift, as the recipient get presents four times a year.

Do you have a FabFitFun box subscription? What do you think of it? Have you tried the above-mentioned products? If so, what did you think of them? Leave us a comment below and let us know.

Gifting someone special with a unique subscription box, makes them feel special and thought of, throughout the year.
