Gifts That Give Back For Christmas 2020 Part 2

by Tahlula B

The holidays are all about giving (or they should be), and that has never been needed more than it is this year. I mean, this holiday season is definitely different. The pandemic is still raging and there are so many people that are suffering, and have lost so much as a result. Gift giving might seem out of place, but if you can brighten someone’s day with a gift and if that gift can go on to help others…well, it doesn’t get better. We recently wrote about shopping for gifts that give back with companies that built giving back into their business models. Today, we are continuing the “shop your values” theme with companies/organizations that are featuring specific product(s) that will be supporting some great causes.

Charity Pot

The founders of LUSH were driven from a desire to create a brand of natural beauty products that supported issues close to their hearts, like fighting against animal testing. They were one of the first to develop a buying policy that ensured that no supplier tested on animals and funded work that highlighted alternatives to animal testing. From their humble beginnings to now, LUSH stores and products still reflect the ethos of the founders: keep things simple, no frivolous packaging, and use only the freshest, natural ingredients. We included LUSH in our Beauty Gift Guide.

With every sale of the gorgeous self-preserving body lotion, Charity Pot, 100% of the price (minus the taxes) is donated to small groups working in the areas of human rights, animal protection and environmental justice. Since they launched they have sold over 3.5 million Charity Pot Body Lotions raising over $50 million to support 1,850 projects in North America and 950 countries around the globe. With Charity Pot, you end up with velvety, beautifully-scented skin AND you’re doing a world of good with every pot purchased!
