My 5 Favourite Beauty Products – The March 2022 Edition

by Elyse V

Spring is in the air, and that means we will be getting out more (hopefully, while masked); and thinking about the beauty products we will need for the spring season. New palettes, old tried and true products, and some new loves round out my 5 favourite beauty products – the March 2022 edition. After all, March 20th is the first day of spring.

Spring is a great time to checkout some skincare advice and do a little spring cleaning of your makeup. This includes: checking the expiry dates, cleaning brushes, and more. Once that task is completed, you may want to treat yourself with a new eyeshadow or other products to round out your assortment of skincare and makeup products. This is where my 5 favourite beauty products – the March 2022 edition come in to help, as it will hopefully inspire you to try something new, or make you want to give something you already have another try.

My 5 Favourite Beauty Products – The March 2022 Edition

Butter London Teddy Girl Eyeshadow Palette: This is one of the first things I tried from my FabFitFun spring box and was excited to do so, as I said in my first look FabFitFun box review. Once I tried this product, I absolutely loved it. The product has a very satin (dare I say buttery) feel. Also, the colours are great, and they are buildable. This palette is perfect for a quick look, as the colours all go together. They are neutral, so you can add in a little bit of shimmer, from the shimmery colours to build up the shimmer. This means you won’t have to worry about wearing too much glitter (as if there is such a thing) during the day, but can rock a little bit of sparkle later. Teddy Girl is a beautiful palette, given its quality. I’ll certainly be on the lookout for other eyeshadows from Butter London.

The Original MakeUp Eraser Wildflower MakeUp Eraser 7-Day Set: Now, I know these are a little controversial because they say just put water on them and they remove your makeup- and they do. However, they leave a lot of residue/makeup behind on your skin. I like to use them like a cotton pad with a little bit of Micellar water (as mentioned in the December 2021 edition of my 5 favourite beauty products) on them, or other makeup removers. I like having seven of these towels because the one I had was roughly the size of three of them, but it needed to be washed more often, as it was one towel. I find I’m using fewer cotton pads because I use these instead. The Original MakeUp Eraser Wildflower MakeUp Eraser 7-Day Set was actually on our makeup lover’s gift guide. After I wrote about them, I added them to my own Christmas list because I thought they were a great idea and needed them in my own skincare routine. Also, they come in a cute little carrying case that is perfect for storage and travel.

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter: I have very dry skin on my arms and legs and this is just a lovely product to help with that. The body butter has a very thin texture, but it doesn’t leave any kind of grease behind on my skin – it just absorbs it. I know dry skin tends to absorb moisturizers but many products leave a residue behind that is an unpleasant feeling. Not to mention, this body butter has a beautiful sweet citrus scent that is light and fresh. This was also in my Spring FabFitFun box – that subscription box has turned out to be a fantastic gift, as I love two of the products from the first box, and I can’t wait to dive into the others.

PÜR Festival Palette: These are some beautiful colours, yes, they are a little wild; but they are exciting. Some of the glitters are really glittery-they mimic loose glitter in a pressed eyeshadow. The metallics in the colours sunset, good vibes, and peace, would mix in beautifully with other pallets to really give you some oomph. There is a little bit of fall with the eyeshadow, but nothing you can’t easily clean up with concealer. This palette is only available on the secondary market right now; however, PüR has brought out Festival 2.0 12-Piece Pressed Pigments Eyeshadow Palette. The new version looks just as beautiful as the original. No matter which Festival Palette you get, the colours are beautiful, and the eyeshadow is of good quality.

Maritime Naturals Retinol Moisturizer: This is a perennial favourite of mine. I love it especially on nights when I do not want to put on serum so I’m still getting the benefits of retinol with my moisturizer in one step. I love this product so much it was one of our 5 best face moisturizers to keep your skin glowing. I keep this product in my beauty fridge to keep it cool for a better application. Not to mention, if is it cool, it really helps to depuff and soothe my skin.

My 5 favourite beauty products – the March 2022 edition, are a mix of eyeshadows, moisturizers, and makeup remover cloths, because these are all products to help us get into the mood for spring/summer. Brighter colours and getting our skin looking its best is where your mind goes when thinking of getting ready for warmer weather.
